Information Technology Management
Responsible for providing leadership, direction, training, and management for information technology operations of a department, division, college, institute, campus, or system wide. Provides senior-level strategic expertise and guidance along with increased accountability. Management level roles have the management and development of people as a major accountability. This role accomplishes goals through overseeing their areas of responsibility, planning, managing resources, prioritizing, and directing the responsibilities of employees.

- Manages operations; including staff supervision and development, leadership, and project prioritization.
- Aligns staff with projects and ensures they are completed on time and on budget.
- Partners with leadership to develop new programs or services upon identification of challenges.
- Develops and implements procedures.
- Manages relationships with external and internal clients and vendors.
- Works in collaboration and consults with managers in other areas.
- Identifies opportunities and oversees the implementation of new programs consistent with unit direction.

- Manages operations of a technical area by performing diverse activities requiring analysis and judgment in alignment with broad principles, practices, and professional standards.

Education/Experience

Information Technology Management 4
Serves as the campus leader and advocate for information technology, with responsibility for planning, coordinating, and implementing a comprehensive technology environment for both academic and administrative computing systems and, the integration of technology into the teaching and learning process. Develops, implements, and manages strategic and operational plans in alignment with the UT System, the institution and unit goals and budgets.

Information Technology Management 5
Provides leadership required to support the UT System mission and to further the strategies needed to achieve goals outlined in the strategic framework. Creates an environment that promotes collaboration, and works effectively and persuasively with key leaders at all UT institutions, members of the Board of Trustees, and senior leaders in the UT System. Provides the University leaders and the Board of Trustees with guidance, strategic thinking, and general information on all areas of UT System information technology and security activities; this includes developing reports and information for the Board and senior leadership as necessary and presenting periodically.
