Training courses are available to all UT employees on a first-come, first-served basis. We publish a list of course offerings twice a year in Training Pages. Course availability and schedules sometimes change due to unforeseen circumstances.
For the most up-to-date listing of available courses and to register online, please use the links below. You may also register for courses by calling EOD at 865-974-6657.
* All computer training courses have a fee.
Most of our courses are held at the UT Conference Center Building in Downtown Knoxville . The KAT Trolley (Vol Line) stops in front of this building on Locust Street every 10 minutes from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. If driving, please park in the UT parking garage on Locust Street between Clinch and Union Avenues. When attending one of our training courses, you will be given a voucher for your parking.
Some courses have fees to cover the cost of materials, speakers, facilities or equipment. These fees are noted when participants register, and will be charged directly to their departments through internal transfer after each course or event.
The entire fee will be charged for computer course cancellations made less than five business days before the first day of the course. The entire fee will be charged for seminar or conference cancellations made less than 10 business days before the start of the event. The entire fee will be charged for any registered participant who does not show up for his or her course or event. Departments may, after contacting our office, send a substitute participant if the registered participant is unable to attend.
Computer Course Refresher Policy
Employees may re-take a computer course that they have already taken within six months of the original course date at no charge. They must bring the books from their original classes or be charged a second time. In certain cases, this policy may be applied to those who canceled late for a computer course within the past six months. Registration is required and the participant must note “refresher” on the attendance roster.
We make an effort to contact all participants in the week prior to the training course for which they are registered. This reminder is a courtesy. Once you register, please consider yourself committed to the class and make yourself aware of our cancellation policy. We appreciate prompt notice if you will be unable to attend. This allows us to plan for accurate class size or to offer a spot to someone on the waiting list.
When registration for a course is full, a waiting list will be created. Please call EOD 865-974-6657 to add your name, email and phone number to the list. We will contact you as a space comes available. In some cases, the waiting list demand will allow us to create an additional session.
