All activities at the 2022 Leadership Institute will be planned around social-distancing guidelines. Participant health and well-being is our highest priority. Masks will be provided, or you are welcome to bring your own. We will be following the UT System protocols for statewide employee protection, which will also follow any local, state, and CDC guidelines in effect in February 2022.
You were nominated by leaders on your campus to attend the Leadership Institute.
LIFO (Life Orientations) is a personal style survey. The institute will teach you how to increase effective working relationships with others of differing personal styles.
Bring an open mind and prepare to be challenged. Dress is casual, but bring layers to accommodate differing room temperatures.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks will be plentiful. Healthy food choices are available during the week.
Expect long, but productive days. Sessions begin Sunday afternoon with registration, opening session, introductions, dinner and keynote address. Most days begin at 8 a.m. and end at 9 or 10 p.m. On Wednesday, sessions end at 5:15 p.m. and Friday at noon.
Plan to be much less accessible than normal to your office. While you may have some occasional free time, the Leadership Institute is an opportunity for you to focus on your own self-development for a week.
Facilitators are former participants who believe in the institute and volunteer their time. Facilitators undergo in-depth training and will help push you to get the most out of your experience. Read brief biographies of your facilitators here.

You’ll have a room to yourself for the duration of the Institute. Reservations are made for you by the Leadership Institute staff.
