Emerging Leaders is a comprehensive leadership program designed to equip individuals interested in formal leadership roles with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their professional journey. By participating in the Emerging Leaders program, individuals will be well-equipped to take on leadership responsibilities, make a positive impact in their unit, and unlock their full leadership potential. Through facilitated sessions and small group discussions, participants will gain strategies for prioritization and time management, work to overcome self-doubt and build confidence, and develop effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Session 7 – Lifelong Learning for Leadership Excellence

Intended Audience:
This program is designed for individuals who aspire to leadership roles but may not currently hold formal leadership positions.

Prerequisites: 
Prerequisites are not currently required for Emerging Leaders; However, we strongly recommend completing the Leading From Where You Are certificate program before beginning Emerging Leaders.

Methodology: 
The program consists of seven sessions delivered over the course of a semester via Zoom. Its interactive nature will encourage participants to engage with the material, share experiences, and learn from each other. To facilitate learning, a combination of required readings, independent assignments, discussions, virtual facilitated group sessions, and online presentations will be employed. Participation in all learning activities is a requirement for successful completion and awarding of the “Emerging Leaders” certificate.
