Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) Information
The CAP is a certification owned and administered by the IAAP: https://www.iaap-hq.org/
Exam Preparation Resources
You can learn more about the exam and preparation resources on the IAAP website. In order to take the exam, interested employees must register and pay for the exam directly through IAAP. The university does not handle registration or payment for the exam. You can find certification info on the IAAP site.
EOD has study books available to employees for check-out of up to two weeks at a time. Once you have registered for the exam, contact us if you would like to check out a study guide. If we have one available when you request it, we can loan it to you for two weeks. After those two weeks, we can extend the check-out only if we do not have a waiting list. To find out about availability of study books, email email@example.com.
Career Development Fund
The UT Career Development Fund may reimburse up to $150 per pre-approved fund recipient each fiscal year. The fund is available to non-exempt UT employees only. Applications for the fund must be submitted at least three weeks in advance of the exam date.
