We aim to provide university employees seeking training with unique and challenging opportunities. Whether through enrolling in more than 1,200 eLearning courses or in one of our 14 certificate programs, our online programs are for those who seek an alternative to in-person training.

We offer more than 1,200 eLearning courses on a variety of topics. Among the courses are:

Certificate Expectations

  • Participants must be University of Tennessee employees.
  • Participants will need to have access to appropriate computer equipment, including an internet connection and compatible browser.
  • Participants will have six months to complete an online certificate curriculum. EOD is happy to review requested adjustments to the timeline on a case-by-case basis.
  • Participants must complete a critical reflection activity demonstrating their ability to understand and apply the major concepts of the program. This activity will be submitted online and evaluated by an EOD trainer.

Participants must complete the full curriculum within six months of enrolling. Due to content changes, programs may also have a final completion deadline. with fewer than six months.
No. Though the topics may be similar, these programs are designed to be separate. We believe participants are best served by a consistent learning experience.
No. Only courses taken AFTER you have been enrolled in the certificate program will count toward the completion of this certificate. Our current programs have been designed so that courses are taken in proximity to one another. Additionally, specific course content may have been updated.
At least 70 percent of the eLearning content has not been featured previously. While there will be overlapping topics and skills in study programs, we want to bring you new learning experiences.
Your final activity toward certificate completion will be a brief series of scenario-based questions. Your answers, submitted online, will be reviewed for comprehension and application by the EOD trainer overseeing your certificate. You will be notified within two weeks if your critical reflection activity has been approved and your certificate complete.
The completion of a certificate program does not guarantee career advancement.
