For Armintha Loveday, It’s About Building Relationships
For 35 years, Armintha Loveday has spent time investing in the lives of her coworkers as an administrative specialist with the UT Institute for Public Service’s Municipal Technical Advisory Service (MTAS).
“To me, it’s important to take the time to check in on the people you work with,” Loveday said.
Whether it’s listening to a coworker who needs help or staying in touch with coworkers who leave, Loveday makes time to build relationships. In fact, she picked up the nickname “MTAS 9-1-1” about 10 years ago because if there was an emergency, Armintha would often serve as a point of contact between former co-workers and the department.
Looking back on her time with UT, Loveday takes pride in her job and the work she’s accomplished, but it’s the coworkers who have made her time at UT special.
“There have just been so many great people that I’ve been lucky enough to work with,” Loveday said. “I probably can’t express it the right way, but it’s been a wonderful experience.”
