Enrollment: Forms must be submitted within 7 days of hire date. If you do not make an election, you will be automatically enrolled into the Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System (Legacy/Hybrid).
1a. Nonexempt (Hourly) Employees Retirement Plan:
Retirement Plan: Automatic enrollment into the Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System
Watch for correspondence from the retirement plan to complete the beneficiary election form.
1b. Exempt (Salaried) Employees Retirement Plan:
Employee must choose which plan to join; Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System or the Optional Retirement Program.
- HYBRID: If you are joining the Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System complete UT Hybrid Distribution form and State of Tennessee Election form.
- HYBRID: If you are joining the Optional Retirement Program complete the UT Hybrid Distribution form (>07/01/2014) and State of Tennessee Election form PLUS enroll online with your choice of vendor (TIAA, VALIC, VOYA)OR
- LEGACY: Complete UT Legacy Distribution form and State of Tennessee Election form and select Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System.
- LEGACY: Complete UT Legacy Distribution form (<07/01/2014) and State of Tennessee Election and select Optional Retirement Program PLUS enroll online with your choice of vendor (TIAA, VALIC, VOYA)
